It is a requirement of the General Liability carrier that Accident Medical coverage be in place.

Covered participants are the player(s), coach(es),and manager(s) of a team, league, or association for  which premium has been received.

This means that the policy pays after any other insurance is payable. If no other insurance is available (group, individual, auto) this policy becomes primary and pays the claims after the deductible has been satisfied. In addition, if other coverage is applicable, this plan would pay out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles and co-insurance.

There is coverage under the Accident Medical policy, on an excess basis, when traveling to or from a sponsored activity.  There is no coverage under the General Liability policy.

Accident Medical claims are paid by the Accident Medical carrier and the General Liability claims are paid by the General Liability carrier.

The insurance companies have assumed in their pricing that the number of students and volunteers shown on the application will remain constant throughout the policy term. No additional premium or refunds will be made during the policy term, unless the enrollment increases or decreases by more than 10%. Please notify your Customer Service contact if enrollment changes by more than 10%, as either a refund may be due or an additional premium charge may be due.  However, a minimum premium amount will still be required.

Coverage will be issued for a full year, regardless of the Master Policy termination date (January 1st).

The Accident Medical coverage is written on a mandatory basis as a requirement of the General Liability insurance company to keep the individual cost as low as possible (group buying) and to keep the administrative costs to a minimum.

No each team, league or association will receive a Certificate of Insurance (includes policy numbers, coverage outline and effective dates of coverage), along with a Schedule of Benefits. You may request a copy of the policy by contacting your Customer Service representative.

Yes, if the facility requires that it be named as an additional Insured, coverage can be added upon written request.  Additional Insured Certificates will cost $35.00 each.

Premium is paid once a year at initial enrollment.

In today’s litigious society, every organization is vulnerable to lawsuits. Accident Medical insurance provides valuable protection for the participant, and also serves as a buffer to protect the organization’s General Liability limits from catastrophic losses.  General Liability insurance is generally required when using playing fields or using rented facilities, so this important coverage allows your organization to comply with those requirements, while also protecting the organization from possible litigation.

No, the rates are already fully discounted.

You may use your own waivers.

All signed Waivers should be kept on file by your Organization.  They do not need to be submitted to us.  Copies of the completed Waivers may be requested by the General Liability Carrier in the event of a claim.

If you just need to know what the pricing would be at this time, you can calculate the estimated premium yourself by taking the estimated number of participants that you have in your group and multiplying that by the rates on the appropriate application(s).  These Insurance programs are based on participant numbers.

We do not need to know the actual names of the participants in your group.

One of the methods used to keep the premiums as low as possible is the utilization of a “Master Policy.”  This means coverage is provided with a singular policy which is provided through the “Youth Group Insurance Trust.”  In lieu of a policy, participating organizations are issued a Certificate of Insurance, which provides the limits of coverage, policy term, and policy number.

Copies of the Youth Group Insurance Trust and policies, including coverage forms, are available to enrolled participating organizations upon request.
